Great design is often esoteric, enigmatic. You look at something and it just feels… right. Whether it is a custom trade show booth design or the cover of a book, great design is inviting, compelling, sometimes even comforting, as in the case of the Helios trade show booth at the RIMS show in New Orleans. ADM Two fabricated the custom trade show booth by repurposing exhibit properties seen in Helios’ previous designs. The resulting 10×30 booth won the Best in Show award for small booth. It was a hit!

ADM Two helped Helios make the decision to use fabric for the graphics instead of the usual vinyl – while they were nervous about the transition, they went ahead with the new material in the custom trade show booth. It was the best possible decision, especially under the circumstances. It turns out that during installation, a forklift hit one of the walls and it had to be repaired. If the graphics had been vinyl they would have been ruined. Since they were fabric, they were not damaged and no one knew the difference!
The fabric graphics were bright and crisp, perfect for Helios’ dynamic logo and appealing color scheme. They limited the use of text and let the evocative logo and floor plan speak to potential clients. Helios also wanted to convey the warmth found in the previous two custom trade show booths that ADM Two fabricated, so that was kept in mind as the trade show booth design was created.

The naturally warm colors of the logo are perfect for conveying familiarity and warmth, and design was kept very simple and direct. People could enter from almost any side of the booth – a nice open and welcoming floor plan. The final touches of chairs and flowers add a home-like effect to the overall feel. Winning the Best in Show award was a true testament to the success of this collaboration.
